Mom-to-be Maya (Hannah John-Kamen) and her partner Jamie (Douglas Booth) think they’ve found the perfect escape from their violent London estate when they bequeath a country house in rural Ireland.
But the dilapidated hook comes with a catch. Local folklore dictates that the owners make a daily offering to the goblin slayers who live at the bottom of the garden.
When Jamie is terrorized by local macho builder Daddy Whelan (Colm Meaney), Maya finds a way to turn that trap to her advantage.
The creature effects are decent, but there’s a straight-forward video feel about this underpowered horror-comedy.
