Speaking of Turner and Hooch, which returns to UK TV screens this weekend, Hanks added: “The scene where I first have that dog on a collar, in a car or tied to a car, it was… Well, just go back and look at it, it was the most physical, exhausting and time consuming.
“And because it could only happen in the real world, this isn’t a CGI moment, there isn’t a stuntman moment involved.
“It was just me and Beasley, who was the dog playing Hooch at the time, and it was still cameras, multiple, multiple versions.”
