The Last of Us comes to life in London: that’s the weekend sorted out

Sony is bringing a real life version of The Last of Us to London, but only for a limited time. If you’re in London this weekend, you might want to check out Sony’s Last of Us installation at Boxpark Shoreditch. Running from March 17 to 21, the special Last of Us installation is inspired by a scene from the critically acclaimed PlayStation game and HBO television series.

Sony further explains: “This time, extraordinary scenes are revealed in East London, where there appears to be a serious cordyceps outbreak.

“A player was found infected with cordyceps which, according to experts, must have occurred while playing The Last of Us on PS5.”

It’s the latest hack in Sony’s ‘Live from PS5’ campaign, bringing video game settings to life with a “breaking news twist”.

Not only is this a novel way to celebrate some of Sony’s biggest and best PlayStation games, but it’s also an attempt to promote the wider availability of the PS5.

The latest stunt is particularly timely, as it takes place just days after HBO’s Last of Series ends.

In fact, if you’ve already finished both Last of Us games and can’t wait for The Last of Us Season 2 on HBO, this could be the perfect diversion.

In case you haven’t played the game that inspired the hit TV show, The Last of Us is available on PS3, PS4, and PS5.

The PS5 version features enhanced visuals and support for Sony’s ultra-immersive DualSense controller.

It also benefits from modernized gameplay, specifically improved controls, and expanded accessibility options.

The PS5 version comes with the original campaign as well as the Left Behind post-launch add-on.

If you want to further explore the world of The Last of Us, you can also pick up the sequel, which is playable on PS4 and PS5.
