The Rolling Stones may have sadly lost drummer Charlie Watts last year, but they show no signs of stopping as they toured relentlessly throughout their 60th anniversary year in 2022. Now, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood have announced today a special online concert event for fans. In the new year.
The Rolling Stones’ immersive virtual concert celebrates the launch of GRRR Live!, a star-studded extravaganza from the band’s 50th anniversary tour in 2012. The iconic performance included guest appearances by The Black Keys, Lady Gaga, Gary Clark Jr. , John Mayer, Mick Taylor and Bruce Springsteen. Besides Watts on drums, of course.
Recorded during the Stones’ 50 & Counting Tour, the concert hasn’t been available to fans since it originally aired on pay-per-view a decade ago, until now. The concert event will take place on February 2 at 8pm GMT and tickets are already on sale.

A statement from the band added: “The GRRR Live! The experience will bring this historic concert to fans around the world at RollingStonesNewark.com through interactive video company Kiswe’s global live streaming technology. The concert features some of the greatest songs of all time, including It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It), Honky Tonk Women, Start Me Up, Gimme Shelter, Sympathy For The Devil and (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction. Unlike watching performances on other platforms, Kiswe Live allows fans to be a part of the experience. Fans around the world will be able to upload short videos of themselves to celebrate the band, the performances, seeing themselves on screen and being seen by others around the world, along with the performance.”
