Overwatch 2 fans are counting down to the launch of Season 2. Overwatch 2 Season 2 is set for a December 6 release date on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo. Switch. The new season is expected to launch with a big update at 6pm UK GMT time. Overwatch 2 season two adds a host of new features to the game, most notably the debut of a new hero character named Ramattra.
Ramattra is a new Tank hero that can change appearances as part of his main kit. This, in turn, allows you to alter his abilities and playstyle on the fly.
Players can unlock Ramattra instantly by purchasing the Battle Pass or by leveling up and unlocking for free.
Speaking of the Battle Pass, the Season 2 Pass contains 60 tiers of premium rewards, as well as another 20 free items.
Premium rewards include a 20% XP boost for the entire season, the Mythic Junker Queen skin, and a variety of Legendary and Epic skins.
Outside of the Battle Pass, the Season 2 update introduces Shambali Monastery, the former home of Zenyatta and Ramattra.
The Escort map will be accompanied by the return of Rialto and Blizzard World. Meanwhile, Oasis and Nepal will be playable at different times of the day.
It goes without saying that the new season will launch alongside a major update, which makes a number of balance changes.
Sojourn, for example, will receive changes to her Rail Gun, while Doomfist is receiving “significant changes that better support his role as the team’s frontline.”
Blizzard explains further: “You can also expect adjustments to Ana, Bastion, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Mercy, and Symmetra when we release this new update on December 6.”
More changes will be made within the season itself, as Blizzard launches multiple special events.
It begins with Winter Wonderland on December 13, followed by the new Battle for Olympus on January 5. The Lunar New Year event continues the trend on January 17.
Express Online will update this story with the full list of patch notes on December 6.
