Next The aspiring James Bond, Tom Hardy, fights for success in the change of 007

Daniel Craig stepped down from the James Bond franchise in 2021 after starring in his latest film, No Time To Die. Since then, he has started the race to become the new and improved 007. While the official announcement on the next actor is likely to be made within the next year, the Bond odds are the best way for fans to find out who’s popular. Tom Hardy was previously a straggler in the pack, but his chances just got better.

Hardy was one of the favorites for the role of James Bond in 2020 after rumors surfaced that he had met with Bond bosses behind the scenes.

While these reports were never confirmed or denied, he quickly became the nation’s favorite British actor poised to replace Craig.

In recent months, however, he has lagged behind on Bond odds – so far. In new data from Ladbrokes, Hardy has moved up a few places to fourth in the odds at a mighty 9/1 to become 007’s successor.

This new hit from Hardy follows a drop in the odds for an old favorite in the ever-changing Bond odds: Regé-Jean Page.

Cavill previously claimed that he would be interested in becoming the next James Bond, however it would have been a struggle for him. He had just signed on to play Superman once again, and was also deep into filming for the third season of The Witcher. Fortunately for Bond lovers (and unfortunately for Cavill), he is now no longer connected to those franchises.

Cavill was recently cut from the DC Studios franchise following an internal change. Around the same time, he retired from the role of Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher. He has since been replaced by Liam Hemsworth.

As a result, your odds have drastically improved. He now has an impressive 5/2 odds of donning the tuxedo.

However, at the top of the ranking is Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The former Marvel actor made headlines earlier this year when reports surfaced that he had met with Bond bosses behind the scenes. Reports claimed that he had three meetings and a screen test, making him the most likely candidate.

As a result, he goes on with a staggering 13/8 to become the next Bond, James Bond.

Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “Regé-Jean Page has taken a beating in the 007 race in recent weeks… far from the flavor of the month, he is fast becoming an unlikely outsider, while all is smiling for Aaron” . Taylor-Johnson, who has re-established himself at the forefront of the betting.”
