Marvel fans love the new theory of how Loki achieves his Glorious Purpose

Marvel’s new big bad after Thanos is a villain spanning the multiverse with multiple variants across space and time. Jonathan Majors debuted as the Nathaniel Richards variant He Who Remains in the final episode of Loki, revealing that he created the Time Variation Authority to end the Multiversal War between himself and his other selves. Another is on the horizon after Sylvie killed him and Loki found the TVA run by another of the variants as a result. Meanwhile, an exiled version named Kang the Conqueror appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantmania.
This Kang was defeated and possibly killed by Ant-Man and the Pym family, but it’s just the beginning. In Quantumania’s end credits scenes, fans were introduced to the Council of Kangs headed by countless variants that appeared to be Rama-Tut, Immortus, and Scarlet Centurion.
If that wasn’t enough, the post-credits sting featured Victor Timely, a Kang setting himself up as mayor with futuristic technology in 1901. Loki and Mobius were in the audience for his introduction and clearly the Asgardian has a plan that will be set. in Loki season 2. Interestingly, that plan has been theorized by a fan in a hugely popular new Reddit post.
The MediocreCritic theorized: “Loki will form a Council of Lokis to combat the influx of Kangs in the Sacred Timeline. They will release the variants and use the TVA to fight Kang. Loki will finally realize the “Glorious Purpose” of him as protector of the Sacred Timeline.”
They explained: “Loki has proven time and time again to be a central player in the MCU, and I believe that in the future, this trend will continue. In the next season, we will see Loki fulfill a purpose that he could never have foreseen. A purpose that makes him the protector of the Sacred Time Line. He will reuse TVA to protect rather than control. Tom Hiddleston previously teased that season 2 would focus on “TVA’s war for the soul.” This would fit right in with that.”

The theorist continued: “This is how I see it. Loki watches as the Multiverse begins to unravel after the death of the One Who Remains. TVA’s fall while He Who Remains clings to them is broken. War is raging in the multiverse, and every day he brings them closer to the Multiverse War. Loki, feeling partly responsible, takes it upon himself to protect the Sacred Time Line. He frees the TVA and reuses the TVA to help fight the Kang insurgency.
Loki is going to need help. He will need a group of people who can trick, trick, sabotage, and generally be a pain in the ass for the Kangs who are coming in and causing trouble. Loki goes to those he truly understands, Him. Loki recruits all the Lokis he can find throughout the Multiverse. A group that can never deal with Kangs physically but through sheer tricks and bullshit. I think this is the endgame for Loki in the MCU, as a god at the end of time who protects the timeline, but doesn’t control it.”
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantmania is out now in theaters, Loki Season 2 is coming to Disney+ later this year, and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is coming in May 2025.
