Lisa Marie’s brother talks about how Elvis’ grandkids are doing ahead of funeral

It’s been almost a week since Elvis Presley’s daughter died suddenly after suffering two cardiac arrests at the age of just 54. Since then, celebrities and family members have received tributes to Lisa Marie Presley. They include Elvis’s ex-girlfriends Linda Thompson and Ginger Alden, who helped raise her at Graceland with The King during the 1970s. Meanwhile, his half-brother Navarone Garibaldi has paid tribute and updated on how the family is doing for a while. mourning so tragic.

Navarone shares his mother Priscilla Presley, Elvis’ ex-wife, with Lisa Marie. After divorcing The King 50 years ago, he ended up dating screenwriter-turned-computer programmer Marco Garibaldi from 1984 to 2006 and together they had their son, who was born on March 1, 1987.

The 35-year-old rock musician’s tribute post to his half-sister included a sweet photo of him as a toddler playing with Lisa. In the attached message, he alluded to how it wasn’t always an easy relationship with her.

Navarone wrote: “Big sis…I hope you are now at peace and happy with your dad and son by your side. I know the last two years have not been easy for you and I wish things had been different between us. Regardless, you are my sister and I am sending you love and prayers for your journey home. I still can’t believe this, I’m speechless. Love you sister. Beijos. [heartbroken emoji].”

Most recently, Lisa Marie’s brother hosted an Instagram Live for his fans, in which he walked around her house while smoking and answering questions, including about the upcoming funeral.

Navarone simply said, “Yeah, I think the nieces are fine.” Presumably, he meant that it’s okay that they lost his mother, brother, and great-grandmother Anna (Priscilla’s mother) in the space of just two and a half years.

Lisa Marie Presley will be buried in the Graceland Meditation Garden alongside her son Benjamin Keough, who died in 2020, at a location close to his father, the King. A public memorial service will be held on Sunday at 9 am CST (3 pm GMT).

The family urged those who wanted to lay flowers to donate instead to The Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports charities focused on the arts, education and children’s programs in the Memphis area.
