Lisa Marie Presley’s ‘first smile in two years’ thanks to Elvis star

After the Graceland premiere, Lisa Marie sat down with Butler in the Jungle Room of the Memphis mansion and praised him for helping make her happy for the first time since the death of her son Benjamin Keough at age 27 in 2020.

Sharing snaps of a touching moment with the Elvis actor, he wrote on his Instagram at the time: “I think this may be my first smile in 2 years.”

In an ABC News special, Lisa Marie said: “I feel very protective of him, he is a sweetheart. It’s almost like he’s channeling it. He put everything he had, his heart, his soul… everything he had into researching, reading, watching and learning. He honored him in every possible way that you could honor him.”
