Oasis may be long dead, but the band’s former frontman Liam Gallagher has told his fans that he’ll keep playing their songs no matter what. He recently attacked on his social media account after receiving some criticism about his recent performance in Mexico.
Gallagher is currently touring South America and on November 19, 2022 he played at the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome in Mexico City.
During his set, he played 16 songs with his band. Of these tracks, 10 of them were Oasis songs.
Not only did he play such massive hits like Wonderwall and Morning Glory, but he also brought out hidden gems like Stand By Me and Roll It Over.
Now, he has attacked those who disagree with his choices on Twitter. She aggressively wrote: “People insist I play a lot of oasis tunes, they can kiss my ass.” (sic)
Gallagher then pointed out how happy these songs make his fans.
He continued: “Seeing those kids’ faces when I drop songs on them is a biblical oasis that will never die LG x.” (sic)
The 50-year-old rocker then followed up with a series of additional tweets to really drive home his point. And they weren’t the mildest of comments.
“Anyone who has a problem with me singing oasis tunes is not a true oasis fan,” he said. “There’s massive C**TZ.” (sic)

Liam and Noel have talked about getting back together in the past, but have publicly chastised each other for the choice.
More recently, Noel was asked if he would consider burying the hatchet with his brother to reform Oasis. He replied, “Hey, would you go on vacation with your ex-mistress?”
He added: “As fun as it sounds. Oasis sells as many records now per year as we did when we were together. We’re just as popular now in the eyes of people as we ever were. And I’m happy with that.” .”
Noel then touched on the relationship with his brother, Liam. He noted that they were both doing very well playing in separate bands.
He said: “If we got back together, there would be a circus, and it doesn’t make sense. Just leave it as it is. I’m happy. He’s [Liam Gallagher] doing his thing. He’s still selling Knebworth. It’s like, dude, good luck to you, you know what I mean?”
In other news, it looks like Britpop is back on the menu considering Oasis rivals Blur announced a comeback show earlier this month. The Damon Albarn-led group will headline Wembley Stadium in the summer of 2023.
