Level up your Call of Duty game with these Modern Warfare 2 tips
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out now, and if you’re anything like us, you’re ready to play the newest and biggest franchise showcase in Call of Duty history. Whether you’ve taken part in the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta or are jumping into the game for the first time, there’s always room for improvement. To celebrate the release of Modern Warfare 2, Activision has sent out some top tips that anyone from recruit to veteran can learn from.
Play the campaign and special ops
While we know you want to jump right into multiplayer, there’s a lot to learn from its Campaign and Special Ops modes.
Exploring these modes might give you a little more practice with the game’s core mechanics against AI opponents, the difficulty of which can be adjusted to offer a challenge for any skill level.
Master the options menu
The default settings are a great starting point for any newcomer or veteran, but it’s not the end point of how the game should be played.
Whether it’s trying out new sensitivity settings and button layouts or adjusting visual options to your comfort level, the biggest step in improving your game could be the changes you make before you jump into battle.
Play with friends and if there is a goal, play around it
As the tagline suggests, the ultimate weapon is the team. When playing game modes, you are more likely to participate and win matches if you focus on the goal at hand.
Additionally, the potential XP gained from reaching objectives and the multiple challenges that revolve around winning games make it worth considering playing the objective.
Experiment with your equipment
The launch period is the perfect time to experiment. Everyone is experimenting, figuring out what works for them, what’s powerful, what they don’t like, etc.
Leveling up many different weapons is not only a great way to increase your XP, but it will also help you upgrade much faster.
find your sensitivity
Once you’ve mastered the essentials of movement in the campaign, it’s time to move on to the multiplayer experience. Before going into details, we want to mention one crucial thing: our sensitivity.
Perfect sensitivity is the difference between going 25-0 and a kill/death ratio of 0.1. And it is different for each person.
If it’s too high and you can’t shoot, you’ll always be looking at the kill cam. If it’s too low, people will always want to say you’ll get burned.
Play a few games and after a session, increase your sensitivity by one and see how it goes. Do this every time until it’s too fast. And never compare your sensitivity with that of others.
