In recent months, Randall Emmett has faced numerous allegations about his personal and professional life. Now his ex-wife and mother of his first two children, Ambyr Childers, has accused Emmett of “emotional and verbal abuse.” According to US Weekly, the “You” star filed a restraining order against the producer of “The Irishman” on Oct. 24 in Los Angeles. In the documents presented, Y! news insured, Childers said the reasoning behind her filing came from a “threatening” email she received from Emmett. In the aforementioned email, the producer asked his attorney Ben Valencia when he would “remove this c***.”
Before getting the message, Childers said he was emailing Emmett about his oldest daughter being late for school. “It is not clear to me if Randy intentionally emailed me this conversation to intimidate me or if he inadvertently included it,” he wrote in the document. “But in any case, the threatening words cannot be ignored.” Although Childers’ temporary restraining order was denied, the court set a hearing for his case on November 14.
Childers’ legal filing comes a few months later Los Angeles Times released a shocking expose on Emmett that laid out a series of accusations, including him offering movie roles in exchange for sexual favors. While the piece had statements from numerous people, including Kent, the producer denied the claims in a statement to People. “The allegations in the Los Angeles Times are false,” he told the news outlet.
