Kanye West song removed by Bournemouth as Premier League side take action

Bournemouth will no longer play Kanye West’s song ‘Power’ when heading out to matches after the American rapper made a series of anti-Semitic comments on social media. The Premier League club has followed Adidas in cutting ties with the 45-year-old, while his agency has also dropped it.
The rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye in 2018, has come under fire in recent weeks for making a series of anti-Semitic comments on television and social media. The comments followed a highly controversial stunt at the Paris fashion show, where he showed up to the event in a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt while promoting his Yeezy brand.
Adidas has now cut ties with the American, discontinuing their partnership to sell its Yeezy range with immediate effect. Other brands and organizations have also distanced themselves.
He has been fired by his CAA agents, while Foot Locker, Gap, TJ Maxx, JPMorgan Chase Bank and Vogue magazine have all said they will not work with him again. The rapper has claimed that those business decisions cost him more than £2 billion in the space of a day.

Things weren’t much better during the controversial 1-1 draw with Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Wednesday. The club had been behind for most of the match and struggled to have any effect on the game before recovering late, equalizing through Rodrigo Bentancur.
Harry Kane thought he had scored the winning goal with the last kick of the ball, causing Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to riot, but was ruled out for offside. Antonio Conte was sent off for his reaction to the decision and left his post-match press conference after a question. All eyes will be on the Italian’s overall behavior during the weekend’s match as he desperately seeks to turn the fortunes of his team around.
However, before the match action begins, the focus will be on the new song Bournemouth decide to come out with after their decision to stand in solidarity with the Jewish community over Ye’s comments.
