Ronaldo was suspended by Ten Hag last month for refusing to come off the bench as a last-minute substitute against Tottenham. The Portuguese international burst through the tunnel five minutes before the final whistle at Old Trafford.
As a result, Ronaldo was left out of the squad for United’s game against Chelsea and was forced to train alone. He released a statement at the time admitting that the “heat of the moment” got the better of him, but he refused to apologize for his part.
