Jason Ritter and Simon Helberg are on their way, road back. In fact, as Ritter said collider, their friendship goes back to when they were only 12 years old. However, aside from getting along when they were young, the “Frozen II” voice actor has a super sweet reason for maintaining his friendship with Helberg over the years. I mean, he was his first friend from high school.
In 2014, Ritter spoke about his high school experience on HuffPostpartner platform. “There were a lot of seventh graders walking around and saying to myself, ‘Okay, I don’t need friends,'” he wrote. However, everything changed when he saw Helberg and his team. “They seemed to have fallen out of the whole high school hierarchy. They didn’t care. You can think we’re idiots or you can think we’re cool. It doesn’t matter,” the actor continued. Soon, Ritter set out to impress the group, and his attempts paid off. “I remember one day, during lunch time… we had all been hanging out and laughing. I grabbed my lunch and started to leave and Simon was like, ‘Hey, where are you eating? You should have lunch with us,'” she recalled.
Since that time, Helberg and Ritter have supported each other, from high school to Hollywood.
