Grammys 2023 predictions when Harry Styles was snubbed for Album of the Year

This Sunday, February 5, 2023 marks the launch of the 2023 Grammy Awards. The awards ceremony will stream on the Grammys website at 1 a.m. ET. Star direction Harry Styles. Unfortunately for him, his last record, Harry’s House, may not have been enough to land him the coveted awards this year.

Competition for the 2023 Record of the Year award has skyrocketed. Not only is Harry Styles up against the likes of Brandi Carlile’s You and Me on the Rock and Steve Lacy’s Bad Habit, but he has to deal with both Adele and Beyoncé.

Harry’s As It Was was Track of the Summer in 2023 and as a result currently sits second on the Ladbrokes odds leaderboard at 5/2. Hot on its heels, however, is Queen Bey’s Break My Soul, which is a staggering 9/1.

However, at the top of the ranking is Adele. Her heartbreaking track Easy On Me broke records when it was released in October 2021. And as a result, she currently tops the charts with an incredible 10/11.

However, Adele can’t win them all. While her fourth album, 30, was a huge hit when it finally hit shelves in November 2021, it’s not the favorite to win the Grammy Album of the Year award. Instead, Beyoncé tops the charts.

Beyoncé’s seventh album, Renaissance, hit streaming services on July 29, 2022, and wowed fans and critics alike. Not only did it reach number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, but it was also certified platinum. As a result, she is currently the favorite to win Album of the Year with 8/11.

Harry Styles is right behind her with his wonderful third album, Harry’s House, and a powerful set of 7/2 odds from the bookies.

Song of the Year is a bit more interesting for the 2023 Grammys. Not only does it include the aforementioned megastars like Adele (with Easy On Me), Harry Styles (with As It Was) and Beyoncé (with Break My Soul), but also other heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar (with The Heart Part 5) and Lizzo (with About Damn Time).

The biggest change to the odds for this category, however, is the inclusion of Taylor Swift. The American starlet surprise-released her tenth studio album, Midnights, in October 2022, but had previously released her elongated version of All Too Well. This became an anthem for the Swifties, and he has since scored an incredible 4/1 at Ladbrokes odds.

Still, Adele is at the top of the pack, for now, at 10/11. And Harry Styles is right behind her at 3/1, so nothing is set in stone yet.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s a three-horse race for Song of the Year at best, and while Adele currently tops the stakes, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Harry Styles or Taylor Swift in the spot.”

Once again, it looks like Adele could pull off another award without breaking a sweat. The 34-year-old singer really took the world by storm when she released Easy On Me, and her stellar vocals on the recording may be enough to see her walk home with the 2023 Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy at a whopping 4/ 5. of Ladbrokes.

However, there is a chance that she will be beaten all the way to the finish line. Harry Styles once again has a career strong point with As It Was. The British singer-turned-actor has a 6/4 chance of winning the Grammy.

However, Doja Cat is right behind these two music industry stalwarts with her viral hit Woman. A set of 5/1 odds is enough to ensure that she still has a chance to win at the end of the night.
