Fortnite DOWN: How long is the offline server maintenance for Chapter 4?

Fortnite fans are gearing up for the release of Chapter 4 Season 1 on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Android, and PC. The new chapter of Fortnite Battle Royale will introduce a new map, Battle Pass and gameplay features. Unfortunately, however, the new season will follow a server downtime period, which is expected to last a maximum of 12 hours. If you want to know when you can start logging into Fortnite again, check out the downtime schedule below.

Fortnite’s end of season event kicks off at 9:00pm GMT UK time on the night of December 3rd. The game will go offline when the event ends around 9:40pm GMT.

Epic Games will announce the official times once the Fracture event ends and maintenance begins.

Since maintenance takes place throughout the night, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is expected to start between 7 and 9 am on the morning of December 4.

Players are encouraged to log in 30 minutes before the Fracture event, though unlike previous seasons, fans can get in on the action while the event is in progress.

Express Online will keep this article updated with the latest developments, including confirmation of when the game will be back online.

The extended period of server downtime will give Epic Games enough time to introduce a new map to Battle Royale.

According to Fortnite insiders like Hypex and Shiina, the new map is codenamed Asteria.

Epic Games is also expected to add motorcycles to Battle Royale, as well as flying animals that can be ridden.

There’s even talk that Chapter 4 will usher in a first-person mode, as well as an advanced editing tool as part of Creative 2.0.

With the new Avatar movie releasing later this month, there’s a chance we’ll get a new movie crossover to coincide with the movie’s release.
