Fortnite Down: How long is server offline maintenance for update 23.10?

Fortnite fans are gearing up for the release of the 23.10 update on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Android, and PC. The next Fortnite update, which is the first of the new season, will add some new gameplay features, bug fixes, and in-game events. Unfortunately, however, the new update will follow a server downtime, which is expected to last a couple of hours. If you want to know when you can start logging into Fortnite again, check out the downtime schedule below.

Fortnite update 23.10 will be available to download starting at 9am UK time on the morning of December 13th.

Matchmaking will start to go down at 8:30am, while the servers will go completely offline at 9:00am GMT.

The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, along with a preview of what fans can expect.

“What’s that under the tree? It’s the 23.10 update!” read a tweet from Epic. “Unwrap it tomorrow with downtime starting at 4am ET and matchmaking will go down shortly before.”

If it’s previous periods of server downtime, Fortnite will likely be back online around 11am GMT.

Express Online will keep this article updated with the latest developments, including confirmation of when the game will be back online.

As you can see from the tweet, the latest update will set the stage for the festive Winterfest event.

The Winterfest event typically features new challenges, holiday items, in-game decorations, limited-time game modes, and festive skins.

Outside of Winterfest, Epic is gearing up to bring the My Hero Academia crossover to Fortnite on December 16. New My Hero Academia skins and items will be leaked after the update.

Speaking of crossovers, Fortnite expert Hypex thinks we may finally see Die Hard skins and items in the game.

In addition, Epic Games will be making a large number of bug fixes and adjustments to the game.
