Elvis Presley had a ‘sexy’ first night with Linda Thompson despite fears

Elvis Presley had already lived a full life when he met Linda Thompson. At 37 years old, Elvis had already conquered the world as the King of Rock and Roll and was married to Priscilla Presley. He had even had a daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, the apple of his eye. So when Linda attended a private movie screening with Elvis and his henchmen, the Memphis mob, she didn’t even expect to meet the star. But for her, everything changed.

Linda was the “virgin” beauty queen for Miss Tennessee in July 1972 when she attended the movie screening. At just 22, she was a rising star quickly building her own career, probably not even looking for love.

However, in an unexpected twist of fate, Linda recalled in a recent interview that she first looked into Elvis’s eyes from across the theater and instantly fell in love with him.

“He came to the movies very grumpy,” he admitted. Then Elvis saw her. “[He] He turned on a light and held it up to my face.” She remembered him “purring” to her, “Well, hello.”

That was the beginning of their first night together.

Linda recalled that he quickly sat down next to her and “nuzzled her neck.”

However, in the throes of passion, Linda remembered Priscilla, Elvis’s wife Priscilla, and in fear she stopped what was happening. “I walked away because I thought he was still married,” she recalled.

The swollen star reassured her: “Honey, we broke up six months ago, I’m single.”

Elvis had a history of womanizing, but he wasn’t lying this time.

Linda said, “Kissing Elvis was like dipping your lips into two soft, sweet marshmallows – his lips were so sexy and soft.” She added that he smelled “as fresh” as his “Neutrogena soap.”

After their first night together, a second meal quickly followed. But it wasn’t until their third date that things really got serious between them. Elvis took Linda to Las Vegas to see him perform at a hotel. At the time, the King had a huge penthouse suite at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, where he held a residency position for seven years.

“I think my purity attracted him,” Linda said, referring to her virginity. “I was his alone. I didn’t drink, swear, or take drugs. He didn’t pressure me to have sex with him.”

Eventually, after two months, he couldn’t resist the star anymore. “We were madly in love,” she recalled. “Staying in the mirrored presidential suite at the Las Vegas Hilton with the bed on a dais. It was magical. He was a sensual and tender lover.”

A year later, Linda moved into Elvis’s home, Graceland, the 13.8-acre estate. In the years that followed, Elvis proposed to Linda and the couple built a life together. But all good things must come to an end.

During Christmas of 1976, Linda moved away from Elvis. She later recalled asking him, “Honey, if there’s another woman, be honest with me.”

Elvis told her that he loved her. “I said, ‘I love you,’ as we hugged each other,” she said. “So I walked away.”
