Cristiano Ronaldo publishes message of “unity” on social networks

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence after the appearance of the first fragments of his explosive interview in ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’, in which he criticized Manchester United for various issues. The Portuguese striker has taken to social media with a ‘united’ post as his future at Old Trafford hangs in the balance.
On Sunday night, hours after United beat Fulham 2-1 in the Premier League thanks to Alejandro Garnacho’s late goal, Ronaldo grabbed the headlines when Piers Morgan revealed the incredible interview was on the way. And the Red Devils’ fan base was taken aback by his comments after videos of their 90-minute conversation surfaced.
Tonight, Ronaldo took to social media to post a picture from Portugal’s training camp as they began their preparations for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The 37-year-old striker accompanied him with the caption: “Total and absolute focus on the work of the National Team. United group, towards one goal: to make the dream of all Portuguese come true!”.
While his brutally honest comments about United and the current regime under Erik ten Hag may have upset some of his teammates, he still has allies in the dressing room. Young full-back duo Brandon Williams and Diogo Dalot, who joined him on the Portugal squad, instantly liked his Instagram post.

Shortly after Ronaldo’s post, Morgan shared the latest clip from the interview, where the iconic number 7 criticized United bosses for not believing him when his newborn daughter was sick in hospital. He cited it as the reason he missed pre-season and admitted the club’s attitude left him ‘hurt’.
He said: “I spoke to the Manchester United board and president. They kind of didn’t believe something was wrong, which made me feel bad. They believed, but just the same, I’m never going to change.” the health of my family because of soccer. Never. Now, neither ten years ago nor in future.

“It’s something that hurt a lot because they doubted my word and that I fought, especially Belle and Jill. I didn’t go to preseason for that, because I wouldn’t let anything happen to my family during preseason. I don’t think it’s fair, and that’s why I didn’t go.”
Ronaldo will be keen to put his angst with United behind him for the next six weeks as he looks to build on his legacy by guiding Portugal to World Cup glory. Portugal kick off their campaign in Qatar against Ghana on Thursday 24 November, before facing Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.
