Christian Horner makes ‘abuse’ claim against Red Bull rivals

“The damage it does to the brand, to our partners, to our drivers, to our workforce…in an era where mental health is prevalent, we’re seeing significant issues within our workforce. We’re seeing children who they are being bullied in playgrounds, children of employees.

“You can’t just go around making that kind of accusation based on any fact or substance. We are absolutely appalled by the behavior of some of our competitors.” Horner then went on to say that he expects the process to be completed this weekend after being offered an ‘accepted default deal’ which will mean his team will receive a lighter punishment for his actions. It remains to be seen whether Red Bull agrees to those terms or holds further talks with the FIA in the hope it will allow them to come to a different deal, although that could be a ‘six to nine month’ process.
