Chelsea Team News – XI predicted when Graham Potter returns to Brighton

Chelsea boss Graham Potter will return to Brighton this weekend as he looks to continue his unbeaten start on the bench at Stamford Bridge. The Englishman has yet to name a team that hasn’t changed since his arrival and it looks like that record will continue against his former team as he looks to keep his players fresh in the final race before the World Cup.
One of the biggest question marks is the forward position after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has started the last two games, expecting to rest against the Seagulls. There are also question marks on defense with Kalidou Koulibaly, Reece James and Wesley Fofana all injured.
Here, express sport he predicts how Potter might line up at the Amex as he sets his sights on breaking into the top four.
Goalkeeper: Kepa Arrizabalaga
The Spaniard has been tremendous since Potter’s arrival, playing every match since the Englishman took the helm. It is highly unlikely that he will lose his spot at Amex with Eduoard Mendy forced to settle for a reserve role.
Defence: Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva and Marc Cucurella
Chelsea are bone-deep in defense after Koulibaly, Fofana and James were ruled out with injuries. Chalobah has impressed since being given his first-team chance against AC Milan earlier this month and has started every game since then. He is likely to do it again this weekend.

Midfield: Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho
With Matteo Kovacic suffering from calf fatigue, he is likely to be rested for the weekend’s match, with Loftus-Cheek returning to the side to take his place. The 26-year-old has been in great form recently and is making a late effort to feature in England’s World Cup squad.
Jorginho helps provide in the central box and is therefore likely to start again, leaving Conor Gallagher unlucky to be forced to sit on the sidelines.
Forwards: Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Armando Broja
Mount was rested midweek and is likely to return straight to the sideline, especially after looking back at his best in recent weeks. Havertz scored the winning goal in the Champions League match, which may help him earn a place in the first team for the Premier League match.
The biggest questions remain the number 9 position as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is likely to rest after starting the last two matches. The German is capable of holding the position by himself, but he tends to perform better alongside a partner. This could open the door for Broja to get her second start of the season as Potter looks for a different target man.
