Charles Leclerc suffers significant damage to Ferrari after accident

Charles Leclerc has destroyed his Ferrari after a serious accident in the second practice of the Mexican Grand Prix. The Ferrari star lost control at the fast turn seven after hitting the entrance curb.
The contact was enough to force the Ferrari driver out before he hit the tire barrier. El Mongegasque was fine after the incident, but suffered serious damage to the rear of his car a day before qualifying.
Moments after the crash, Leclerc was asked by his race engineer if he was okay. The 25-year-old responded: “Yes, yes, yes. But not the car.
Sky Sports presenter Ted Kravitz revealed that Leclerc did not seem particularly happy after the accident. He also claimed the incident could have a serious effect on his weekend with Ferrari engineers yet to determine the extent of the damage.
Martin Brundle, who was on track at the crash site, confirmed that Leclerc’s car had been badly damaged in the manoeuvre. He said: “The car has just hit the track. The rear wheels are obviously very, very badly deformed. The rear of the car was hit.
“Like Paul [Di Resta] He said it’s going to be a very, very late night in terms of putting that Ferrari back together.”
