Scream 6 is taking the series, and Ghostface, to new heights. This time, the mysterious assassin comes to New York City to finish what he started and kill those who got away from him in 2022’s Scream (5). But who’s in the cast this time?
Hayden Panettiere is Kirby Reed.
Panettiere returns to the franchise for the first time since 2011’s Scream 4. Last time around, she barely survived the movie unscathed. This time, she’s on the offensive. Judging by the trailers, she’s trying to find out who Ghostface’s killer is and bring him to justice. Though, since she’s made a surprise return to the series after two absences from the movies, could she really be behind the killer mask? Fans will recognize Panettiere from the amazing TV show Heroes, as well as the horror video game Until Dawn.
Courtney Cox is Gale Weathers.
Cox is a stalwart of the Scream franchise, and she’s returning to the series once again in Scream 6. This time, Weathers is a morning show host and a famous survivor of the Ghostface murders. In addition to writing a book about her experiences in the previous five Scream movies, the Friends star will no doubt be involved in the events of the thrilling attacks once again. Will she be able to stop Ghostface’s killer once and for all this time? Or is she destined to be in danger for her entire life?
Melissa Barrera is Sam Carpenter.
Barrera made his debut in the fifth film in the series, Scream, in 2022. This time he returns after barely surviving the rampage of Ghostface’s killer in Woodsboro. As a result, he fled to New York City with his sister, Tara Carpenter. The actress is relatively new to Hollywood and previously starred in In The Heights and the musical drama Carmen.
Jenna Ortega is Tara Carpenter.
Tara joined Sam on his trip to New York City after leaving Woodsboro. She is another survivor of the attacks that took place in Scream (5). The American actress is best known for playing Wednesday on the Netflix television show of the same name, from director Tim Burton. Although she is relatively new to Hollywood, she has already made quite an impact in the industry. But does this mean that her character won’t be long in the world of Scream if she has even bigger projects to work on?
Jasmin Savoy Brown is Mindy Meeks-Martin.
Mindy Meeks-Martin is the twin of Chad Meeks-Martin and also a Woodsboro resident. She also joined the Carpenters in traveling to New York City to get away from it all, but obviously, things aren’t going to be that easy. Savoy Brown is also relatively new to Hollywood, as she had only been in Scream before coming to Scream 6. She also starred in the 2021 slasher Sound of Violence, in which she played lead Alexis Reeves.
Mason Gooding is Chad Meeks-Martin.
Mindy’s twin brother is played by Mason Gooding, who viewers may recognize from Scream 2022, as well as Olivia Wilde’s coming-of-age comedy Booksmart. He also played a major role in the survival thriller Fall, which hit theaters in 2022. Chad joined his twin sister and their friends, the Carpenters, to go to New York City after barely surviving to the Woodsboro attacks.
Samara Tejiendo is Laura.
Knitting has become a big name in the horror industry. After making a splash in his 2019 hit Ready or Not, he starred in Guns Akimbo opposite Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe a year later. She also played Ted’s daughter in Bill and Ted Face the Music. Not much is known about her Scream 6 character Laura, but the mystery could mean big things are planned for her arrival.
Roger L. Jackson is Ghostface.
Ghostface’s voice comes, once again, from the hand of Roger L Jackson. The voice actor has played the killer since the first Scream movie in 1996, and nothing has changed there. Although he is not under the mask (as far as we know), he will play a major role in the new movie. He previously voiced him in some major TV shows and movies, including The Legend of Korra, Teen Titans Go! and Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.
Scream 6 hits theaters on March 10, 2023.
