Many have sided with Ten Hag throughout his feud with Ronaldo, and the latter’s latest steps have put his reputation with the club in jeopardy.

Although Carragher believes the same familiar faces will defend the Portugal international, he tweeted: “99% of United fans will be on Erik ten Hag’s side, which shows how badly Ronaldo has handled this. 1% will be Rio (Ferdinand), Roy (Keane) and Patrice (Evra)”.
