Blur Announces Special Comeback Show – Here’s When Tickets Go Out

Blur have made the triumphant announcement of their return to the stage for the first time since 2015. The band rose to fame in the 1990s writing such iconic tracks as Parklife, Song 2, Girls & Boys, Charmless Man and many more. The last time they released an album was in 2015, titled The Magic Whip. Since then, everything has been silent. But this summer, they will break their silence and arrive at Wembley Stadium in London for a special night.

When do Blur tickets come out?

Tickets for Blur’s one-off show at Wembley Stadium go on sale Friday 18th November 2022 at 10am

Information on pre-sale tickets has yet to be released, but Express.co.uk will update this article when news comes out about getting tickets early.

The concert will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2023 and the band is excited to be back on stage to perform their iconic songs.

Even more exciting, the original Blur lineup will be playing Wembley Stadium in July.

Not only singer and frontman Damon Albarn will be back, but also his gang, Alex James, Dave Rowntree and genius songwriter Graham Coxon.

Albarn said of his return: “We really love playing these songs and we thought it was about time we did it again.”

James added: “There’s always something really special when the four of us get into a room. It’s nice to think that on July 8 that room will be Wembley Stadium.”

Coxon also broke his silence, saying, “I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and hearing all those great songs again…Blur live shows are always amazing to me. Good guitar and amp on the go.” maximum and a lot of smiling faces…”

“After the chaos of the last few years,” Rowntree said, referring to the COVID-19 pandemic. “It’s great to play a few songs together again on a summer’s day in London. I look forward to seeing you there.”

This event is made even more special due to the fact that it will be their first show at Wembley Stadium.

Blur’s return isn’t a complete surprise, considering Albarn briefly mentioned the band’s plans last year.

Albarn told NME that he and the band had “a chat recently”, before adding: “But we haven’t progressed beyond that…although we had an idea, obviously I’ve been a bit busy at the moment.” happens, I’ll fix it.”

He also told Metro: “I’m about to have a conversation with people about Blur and I’d love to sing all those songs again. I miss the songs. I miss playing with Blur… [It’s] it’s not something I would do just for the sake of doing it. There has to be a very good reason to do it all over again and then I’ll commit wholeheartedly.”

This news follows reports that a reunion “tour” was happening earlier this year.

A source told The Sun in August: “Britpop fans will want to shout this from the rooftop: Blur are back. The lads have been talking about this for a while and now it’s becoming a reality.”

The source went on to note that this concert will coincide with the 30th anniversary of their second album, Modern Life Is Rubbish.

The gold-certified record hit stores on May 10, 1993.
