Arteta could give two rare starts against PSV as Arsenal make eight changes

Marquinhos missed training on Wednesday, so it doesn’t seem likely he’ll be available. Eddie Nketiah hasn’t scored in his last five matches but will probably start ahead of Gabriel Jesus, who is also in poor form.

William Saliba and Gabriel have rotated in the middle of defense in Europe this term and it could be the Brazilian’s turn to miss out. Rob Holding will partner with the defender of Arteta’s choosing.

Kieran Tierney should come in at left back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko still absent. Albert Sambi Lokonga and Fabio Vieira will play in midfield, alongside Granit Xhaka or Martin Odegaard.

Xhaka has played far more minutes than Odegaard this season, so the Arsenal captain can get a thumbs up. He, Saliba and Martinelli are the only three who were able to hold onto their place from the 1-1 draw at Southampton on Sunday.

Arsenal’s expected eleven for PSV Eindhoven: Turner; Cedric, Saliba, Holding, Tierney; longa, scallop, odegaard; Nelson, Nketiah, Martinelli.
