Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania Had a Sneaky Marvel Easter Egg You Missed

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is finally in theaters, kicking off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while fans will no doubt be wowed by the spectacular footage from the quantum realm, they may have missed an important reference during the image’s finale.

After Cassie Lang awakens the efforts of the freedom fighters, the warriors, led by the mind reader, Quaz, made their way to Kang’s fortress.

Along the way, they came across a bridge that required a code to proceed. Quaz made quick work of getting the information from one of the guards, but the numbers themselves secretly referenced classic information on Ant-Man.

Quaz discovers that the code for the bridge was 18147. Mega fans of Marvel comics may remember that Avengers #181 was Scott Lang’s first appearance in the comics. This issue was published in March 1979.

Additionally, Marvel Comics Premiere #47 marked Scott’s debut as the new and improved Ant-Man. This particular comic came out a month later, in April 1979.

Rudd described the American actor as “scary” and “pretty intense”, but was sorry to have to be by his side for longer shots.

“I tried to bulk up and get in shape,” said the 53-year-old. “But it didn’t make sense compared to Jon, and why do it when Ant-Man never takes his shirt off?”

Rudd’s frustration follows People magazine awarding him the Sexiest Man Alive title.

He also spoke candidly about the work he put into his third solo Marvel movie.

rudd said men’s health he “worked very hard” to cast for the part. He added that this time it was “much more difficult” to get in shape.

“I had fallen more than in the past,” he confessed. “Suddenly my clothes were tight. And I thought, ‘God, this sucks. I can’t even wear these pants.'”

He added: “So I was like, ‘Well, I might as well have some of these cookies.'” He was irritable and self-conscious. He just wasn’t in a good mood. I really hit myself.'”

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is now in theaters.
