Andrea Bocelli’s sons have joined their father in onstage duets for the past few years to the acclaim of fans. And now Matteo Bocelli, 25, and Virginia Bocelli, 10, have accompanied the 64-year-old maestro on a new album. In conjunction with the release of A Family Christmas, the talented trio will star in a special broadcast worldwide.
Andrea, Matteo and Virginia will be the protagonists of the streaming event that is a fairy tale and a concert all in one, which will take place between the castle and the streets of Gressoney in northern Italy.
The Bocellis quipped: “Set in the heart of an Italian winter wonderland in magical Gressoney in the Aosta Valley, one of the most enchanting mountain towns in the world, the Bocelli family showcases their multi-generational talents in intimate singing and festive. The special begins with the angelic voice of Virginia in the beloved classic Over The Rainbow.
Judy Garland’s classic Wizard of Oz is performed by the 10-year-old on the album and begins her holiday fantasy adventure in the special.
Matteo made his Hollywood debut in the fantasy film Three Thousand Years of Longing earlier this year and after seeing this trailer, Virginia certainly seems to have what it takes to make hers too. A Bocelli Family Christmas premieres on YouTube on December 4 at 5pm GMT.
The holiday special will also be available on TBN starting December 16 and YouTube Premium subscribers will also have access to an after party with exclusive A Bocelli Family Christmas content.
