Adele has achieved more success than the average person (or let’s be honest, a celebrity) could ever hope to achieve. However, record albums, awards and millions in the bank are not enough for the singer. Adele also wants to enrich her mind, which is why, once she’s done with her residency in Las Vegas, she plans to go back to school. “After Las Vegas, I really want to get a degree in English Literature,” Adele shared during a fan Q&A with Sun. “If he hadn’t succeeded at my singing, I think he would definitely be a teacher. I think he would be an English literature teacher.”
Referencing her songwriting skills, Adele shared that she thinks her profession allows her to use her “passion for English literature.” And while she Adele she wishes she “had gone to college,” she will take classes online and use a tutor. This is not the first time Adele has expressed her desire to be a teacher. In 2021, the singer participated in Vogue “73 Questions” series and shared that, “I really want him to be an English teacher before anything else.”
